Motivation
HiLo microscopy is a fast alternative to
confocal microscopy which enables full-resolution optical
sectioning. It rejects the out-of-focus light contributions
and optimizes the imaging contrast thereby. Uniform
illumination and structured illumination are combined to
achieve the necessary frequency filtering.
Range of Tasks
- Building up the optical setup
- Calibrate and characterize the system
- Test different techniques to measure the local modulation contrast
