The Chair of Measurement and Sensor System Technology (MST) teaches and conducts research in the field of systems technology. Holistic systemic approaches are pursued for the design of sensors and measurement techniques. The targeted application areas include biomedicine (health), process and production engineering (energy and environment), aerospace (mobility), automation and control engineering (security), as well as information systems engineering (communication). Fundamentally, systems are the totality of elements that are interconnected and organized as a defined structure externally.
